Bietjie meer van myself:

Heel eerste is ek ook ‘n Mamma van drie pragtige kinders.  My een seun studeer tans onderwys, my 2de seun is in Matriek en my dogter is in Graad 11.  Sy beoog ook om Onderwys te gaan studeer.  Onderwys is in die familie – my eie skoonma is Skoolhoof by ‘n skool in die Vrystaat.  As ons dus bymekaar is praat ons net skool.  My eie kinders was vir my die beste verwysingsraamwerk wat ek gehad het om die kinders in my eie klas te hanteer.  Dit help baie om ‘n munstuk van albei kante te kan besigtig.

My liefste manlief is ‘n predikant in hart en siel.  In die beginjare van ons huwelik was hy voltyds in die bediening, maar predikantsvrou is ek beslis nie.  Dit was beslis een van die moeilikste tye in my lewe, want Manlief is 24/7 uur aan diens en mense “label” jou baie gou en verwag van jou om op sekere maniere op te tree.  Nou bedien hy meer informeel en is baie betrokke by die gemeenskap en gemeenskapsdiens wanneer hy tydjie kry.  Hy werk vir ‘n Ingenieurs Firma en werk veral met damveiligheid en sulke tipe goed waarvan ek nie altyd baie verstaan nie.

Ons is lief vir die natuur en kamp gereeld met ons karavaan in die Wes-Kaap omgewing.  Eintlik is ek ‘n gebore Transvaler en hy (Vincent) het my Kaap toe gesleep 23 jaar gelede tot my vreugde.  Ongelukkig is al my ander familie nog nie so gelukkig nie en is hulle maar daarbo in die rook en roet van Gauteng.

Ons bly op die platteland, maar ek lief die stad en stadlewe ook vir ‘n naweek se wegbreek.  Ons probeer om ten minste een keer per jaar onsself te bederf – net ek en hy.

Ek lief nuwe uitdagings en is tans baie hard besig om elke dag te werk om my doelwitte te bereik.  Ek is tans besig om my eie webwerf te skep wat ek as platform gaan gebruik om meer GSF hulpbronne in alle leerareas beskikbaar te maak vir die mense.  Ek is een van daardie mense wat in die diepkant ingegooi word en swem!  En tans is ek baie besig om te swem!
